About the Programme


PGD in Intellectual Property Rights is a Two- years post Postgraduation Intellectual Property Rights programme with the motive to impart understating of various copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, etc. The course discusses issues like the ownership and licensing of new media content, internet streaming, technology and software, and pharmaceutical patenting and commercialisation.

The starting salary for a freshman is about 3 lakhs to 9 lakhs LPA. Candidates who want to become IP Analyst, Patent Engineer, Assistant Manager, Research Analyst, Business Head, etc usually go after this course.

PGD Intellectual Property Rights is a pass in Graduate or its equivalent examination from a recognized board. Admission to these courses is based on the Entrance exams conducted at the state level and the national level. Entrance exams are conducted for admission in this course by the various colleges.

  • Candidates must have cleared the equivalent exam for their desired college.
  • For admission in some colleges, students are also required to have Mathematics as one of the compulsory subjects either at the Graduate level or in Sr. Secondary (Graduate).
  • Candidates must have scored at least minimum 50% to 60% marks in graduation in order to be considered for admission to PGD Intellectual Property Rights.
